Tübingen is a place of research and teaching. Some 28,000 students from Germany and around the world join the town's regular population of around 90,000 regular inhabitants. At the University's seven Faculties, 450 professors and more than 4,000 other scientific and academic staff carry out their research and teaching. The University offers more than 280 courses.
